Each Space Key contains a block made of advanced carbon-fire composite material, which was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a research project in 2019. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved with QR code that links to the digital element within the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels make up each of the five images, which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner utilized an inflatable camera that had lenses to capture the individual images, which were later assembled into the final photograph.
